Fall update:
Max is saying all kinds of words, problem is, half of them we can't understand...... His favorite words are ball, light and truck. He doesn't care much for toys (like his brother at this age) and prefers walking around the house climbing on things and getting into things he's not supposed to. For example, knocking over lamps, climbing on tables and chairs, playing in Cappys dog dish, opening drawers and cabinets (with and without childproof locks on them....) and making big messes everywhere he goes. He's like a little tornado that moves nonstop!! Needless to say Mommy has her hands full with two extremely active boys! He loves school and is very social, he is still very "happy go lucky". He takes a good long nap everyday and sleeps well at night. He has the appetite of a teenage boy and is already in 2 year old clothes, he's so tall! He does enjoy OCCASIONALLY driving his cars around and making car sounds (like Nathan used to) and is getting more into books, pointing at anything round and saying "ball?"
James is getting much better at actually playing with toys for extended periods of time, loves his cars, his train and his Diego blocks. His vocabulary blows me away, its amazing how quickly they pick up on language (good and bad.....) We are having some issues with using "not nice" words which I'm beginning to hear is quite common with little boys, hopefully just another phase... He is doing great in school and knows a lot of his alphabet letters and all of his numbers to 10. He loves to learn. He still loves to ride his bicycle and now that the weather is nicer we try to ride a few times a week around the neighborhood.
Jim and I rode our bikes and pulled the boys in the bicycle car(rickshaw) to the Taste of Manatee downtown on Saturday. They have local restaurants that set up booths and bands, crafts, etc. It was a great bike ride and the boys had a great time. Jim had to go up a mast at the marina and the boys loved watching Daddy climb up! Jim has been busy with work, hired a new employee and things are going well.
