I love a parade!

Trujillos family, Kenji is expecting #3 in about 6 weeks!

Max and Daddy, Kenji and Ceilo

We had a great spot in the bank parking lot.....
plenty of room for the kids to run.

The Desoto Heritage parade was last weekend, always a fun time around here. We had the Gooby family over, grilled some hotdogs, had some Margaritas and then walked down to join in the festivities. Its always fun to see all of our neighbors along with Bradentons finest. The kids had a blast!!

Update

Just a quick update of whats been going on around here.

Max had his 9 month check up and was off the charts for height (30 3/4 in.), his weight was in the 90% at 23lbs. He cut his top four front teeth and is now working on another in the back, so he's been pretty misreable the last few days and not sleeping well. The good news is we all survived (barely) the nastiest stomach bug this family has ever seen. Max had it first, not sure where he got that, and then it hit me and Jim last Sunday night, we thought we were dying. James never got it (not yet anyway.........) Max is now clapping his hands and eating a lot of what we eat, which is great since he usually spits his baby food back at me anyway. He has mastered crawling and is regularly pulling up on things and balancing.

James is doing great, napping better these days and has been really good, using his manners and actually doing things the first time I ask without too much fuss. (this will all change next week I'm sure....) He is still quite the artist and is talking more and more everyday. He loves talking to Max and asks him if he likes different things, then Max shakes his head "No" over and over and James dies laughing. They are becoming quite the pair, James doesn't like it when Max knocks down his tower or grabs his people he has worked so hard to line up. But is pretty good at yelling "Mom, come get Max, he's bothering me!" We are still pretty much in the same place with the potty training, some days better than others......

Jim is still really busy, we've been so blessed, the phone continues to ring. Unfortunately, not much has gotten done around the house with all of the sickness and work. But we'll get there, can't wait to move into our new room. Drywall is almost complete, then time for painting and flooring.

We are patiently waiting on the arrival of baby Will. Tammi's due date was Sunday, he must really be comfy in there!!

Happy Easter!

We had a great Easter, the boys both really enjoyed
their Easter baskets and James had a ball at the Easter egg hunt
at church.

Sarah's Birthday party

We had a birthday party lunch for Sarah at the Rod & Reel
while the Lewis family was in town visiting for Spring Break.
She turned eleven on April 6th, hard to believe!!

Nana, D-Daddy and all the grandkids

Nana and D-Daddy with all of the grandkids,
baby Will should be joining us any day......Tammi's due
date is April 26th, make room for another boy!

Daddy and Max at beach Christening

Max and his Daddy on the beach for his Christening.
The Christening gown was worn by Max's D-Daddy when he
was a baby, as well as Mommy, Uncle Eston and Aunt Allyson,
time to pass it back to Tennessee for baby Will!

Max's Christening

We had Max Christened at the beach on Monday,
April 6th (also Sarah's Birthday...)
We had it done at the Sandbar where we were married five years ago.
It was a very windy day, but beautiful, and so neat to have him
Christened on the beach, James was also Christened on the beach
on his first birthday so we wanted to continue with our family
beach theme!!

Nana and D-Daddy are back from the keys and it is
so great to have them back!

Nana and her baby....he is such a "Nana's boy"!

Mommy, Daddy and Max

Our minister brought holy water from the Jordan river
to sprinkle on Max, very neat.

James explains Easter

I noticed James was drawing some crosses on his board after church last Sunday, so I grabbed the camera and asked him about them.......

James, Devin and Ava's partial slumber party

Our great friend Sheri was nice enough to come over
and watch the kids one night so Mommy and Daddy
could have a date night..... the kids thought it was great!

Good friends, a movie and some popcorn, what could be better?!

James' latest artwork

Two people riding on some kind of weird animal/fish,
Mommy and Daddy think it looks like something
out of a Dr. Suess book......
James' Easter bunny (in middle) surrounded by Easter eggs

James' pirate ship, complete with a few pirates,
a ladder (on back) and water beneath. Awesome!

Max is really enjoying this eating stuff!
