Max and James LOVE their cousins Christian and Caterina, they are such sweet kids, we just love that we've been able to spend some time with them this summer.

Mikey and Robbie live in Colorado, it was so great to catch up with them, we are hoping to take a trip out West next spring for some skiing fun

James Pre K Graduation

Its hard to believe James is starting Kindergarten in the fall, we are really excited about the school he is going to, it is Rowlett Elementary which is a Magnet school, it has a fantastic reputation and we are really happy that he got in.

James w/out training wheels!

Last night we took off James' training wheels and wow did he take off! He did great, he is such a little daredevil, plus Nathan now rides without training wheels, thats all the motivation he needs, if Nathan can do it, so can I!

He did so good, he has one battle scar under his chin but he's tough and I'm sure we'll be out practicing again today after school.

My mothers day gift

For Mothers Day Jim worked on the stairs that drive me crazy with their nastiness.......

Look at Cappy at the top of the stairs, I think he's afraid to walk on the new stairs, they've been off limits all weekend..

It was a huge job, we stayed up until midnight all weekend sanding, staining and varnishing the new steps, but man was it worth it, they are gorgeous!

I'll post another picture as soon as they are officially finished.

Easter Camping for Sarahs 13th Bday

We camped over Easter weekend at Ft Desoto for Sarahs 13th birthday. We had our own private little beach right on the water behind our campsites. It was the perfect place for having the canoe and kayaks and the kids had a ball catching sea creatures with their nets, crabs, snails and even a starfish or two!

We dyed Easter eggs and then later that day a racoon snuck up to the picnic table and stole an egg, Sarah and her friend Hallie caught him in the act!

Now thats a van full of fun!

King fishing

Our friends Craig and Jessica took us out fishing for King fish, it was a blast, what a ball to reel those guys in....
